Pflugerville (Homeschool) Pfamilies is a growing community in Pflugerville, Texas. The community was founded by Kristen Marengo in June 2018 as a Facebook group with a handful of people that she met after moving to Texas in 2017. Kristen is a homeschool mom of five and was hoping to establish a community where she lived in Pflugerville so that her pfamily and others could connect and pflourish. She started planning consistent park days, events, clubs, and pfield trips and the group began to grow!

This is not an average homeschool group. We seek to build relationships with each other and with our local community. We do this by personally getting together, supporting local homeschool pfamilies and local businesses, and sharing our strengths with each other.

Although the community began as a Facebook group, Kristen realized that she wanted to encourage more face-to-face interaction. While we do share resources, ideas, and curriculum, that is not the goal of our community. Real community for our kids can not happen just by sitting behind a computer screen. After months of searching for an alternative, she found team apps and moved Pflugerville Pfamilies so that she can provide a better experience for everyone.

Kristen also realized that while there is an often overwhelming amount of choices for homeschool families in Austin, they can often be exclusive and closed to different faiths, learning styles, etc. Pflugerville pfamilies welcomes everyone and hopes that all pfamilies can connect in some way.

We welcome diversity! All faiths, all ages up to 18, and all homeschooling styles.

Whether you are homeschooling, de-schooling, unschooling, road-schooling, world-schooling, life-schooling, or a mix of it all, it's ok!
